How ADHD Counselling Can Help
ADHD can affect much more than concentration. It can influence how you manage time, begin and finish tasks, regulate emotions, maintain boundaries and respond to everyday demands.
You may feel exhausted from working harder to keep up, frustrated that strategies never seem to stick, or anxious because your mind rarely switches off. Over time, these experiences can also affect your confidence and the way you see yourself.
Whether you have a diagnosis or are still exploring ADHD, counselling can help you understand your patterns, make sense of your experiences and find practical tools that fit your life.
Common Ways ADHD Can Show Up
ADHD does not always look like being distracted or visibly hyperactive. It can show up as:
My Approach to ADHD Counselling
What to Expect in Your First Session
Whether you have a diagnosis or are wondering about ADHD
What you have been struggling with
How ADHD may be affecting your everyday life
What you have already tried and what has not worked
What you would like to understand or change
You do not need to have a diagnosis or know exactly what to say. The first session is a chance to talk through what you have been noticing, how it is affecting your life and what you want help with. You may want to understand ADHD better, process a diagnosis, consider whether a formal assessment is worth exploring or find practical strategies that fit your life.
